Positive movement in large cap Seplat (+1.45%) and Mtnn (+1.23%) boosted today’s performance as the NGXASI appreciated by +0.15% to settle at 38,564.70 points. Other key movers were; Afriprud (+5.79%), Uba (+2.11%), Unilever (+1.92%), FBNH (+0.69%), Ardova (+0.65%), Access (+0.59%) among others. On the contrary, Stanbic (-2.50%), Cadbury (-2.47%), ETI (-1.89%), Guaranty (-1.58%), Flourmill (-0.67%) and Wapco (-0.47%) succumbed to sell pressure .
Market turnover was N2.81bln ($6.81mln), boosted by mixed interest trades in Zenithbank, and Guaranty as well as offshore related crosses trades in Seplat. The YTD return on the NGX index moderated to -4.24%. We expect the market to maintain a similar trading pattern in the coming session.
