Market wrap 11/03/2024

The recent positive movement on the Nigerian equities market was sustained today, as the All-Share Index (ASI) appreciated by +0.70% to settle at 102,044.8pts. The performance was on account of gains recorded in Dangsugar (+9,97%), Nascon(+9.92%), Zenithbank (+6.47%), UBA (+5.02%), Transpower (+4.98%), Wapco (+2.79%), GTCO (+1.95%), Honyflour (+10.00%), NEM (+10.00%) and NGXgroup (+1.19%) among others. However, UACN (-9.68%), Eterna (-6.71%), Oando (-5.00%), FBNH (-1.23%), Sterlingng (-1.05%), and Ikejahotel (-0.45%) closed lower.

Turnover was N17.09bln ($10.71mln), buoyed by trades in Transpower, and GTCO. The year-to-date return on the ASI increased to 36.47%. We anticipate the same trading pattern in the coming session.
