DEPARTMENT
Strategy and Corporate Planning
JOB OBJECTIVES
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head of Strategy & Transformation in executing the team’s set goals and objectives which include developing, monitoring and implementing the organisation’s corporate, business and functional strategies.
- The candidate will also be responsible for supporting the Team Lead, Enterprise Digitisation in identifying
opportunities for process improvement through digitisation, digitising process using intelligent automation
technologies and process reengineering. - The candidate should have a strong understanding of Financial Services with the ability to translate complex issues into understandable and actionable terms. The candidate must also have strong knowledge of the digital landscape and technology trends.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Facilitate the articulation of the company’s corporate strategic plans, support execution of identified initiatives
and drive escalation of course correction measures with Management. - Facilitate the monitoring and reporting of the company’s performance against set targets and identify
opportunities to course correct - Facilitate the periodic corporate performance/business review sessions, identifying strategic/tactical issues and proactively proffering solutions (as required) Prepare periodic and ad-hoc strategic reports for the Holding company, and other internal reports for
management, as required. - Manage the Strategic partnership framework across the organization, driving execution and evaluation of
potential partnerships. - Provide support to the Head of Strategy & Transformation in strategy ideation and innovation.
- Ensure there is an effective environmental, competitor, shareholder analysis, and peer perception analysis on a
regular basis. - Co-manage the articulation and execution of the organisation’s Digital Strategy, facilitating the execution of
digital initiatives and escalation for course correction. - Manage the corporate planning aspect of business unit performance management; follow through on key action
items from retreats and performance meetings and ensure implementation. - Conduct general industry research and maintain a database of relevant macro-economic and financial services
industry indices. - Distil information from research data for the company’s vantage positioning and continued relevance in the
banking industry. - Perform other duties as required including preparation of board reports, other related external communications,
and other ad-hoc support required by the MD.
Enterprise Digitisation
Intelligent Automation:
- Work with the Team Lead to own the end-to-end automation strategy and serve as a point of contact on the
digitisation and automation of key business processes. - Identify opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges.
- Work with the Team Lead to identify and manage vendors.
- Provide technical guidance for the development and implementation of digital automation.
Process Reengineering:
- Work with the Team Lead to review enterprise processes and identify opportunities to improve process
efficiency and user experience. - Define user journeys and process flows across enterprise processes.
- Work with technical teams to enable the automation of business process workflows.
EXPERIENCE
- 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in a large organization.
- Preference is for experience gathered in a leading investment bank, professional services, or financial services
firm. - Extensive knowledge of the technology and Fintech landscape is required.
- Experience delivering enterprise digitisation programmes/tools preferably with the Big Four consulting firms.
- Must have a good understanding of AI, Robotics Process Automation, etc.
- Experience delivering Digital Assets in financial services with a revenue-boosting bottom-line.
- Certified Project Manager/Project Coordinator.
EDUCATION
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics or relevant course
(Second Class Upper). - A Master’s degree or professional certification in Economics, Strategic Management, Accounting, Finance,
Business Administration is an added advantage.

- Self-learner with the ability to acquire the knowledge required to complete tasks.
- Good appreciation of the major industry and regulatory trends and challenges.
- Understanding of UML and Business Modelling Techniques.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to engage peers and seniors to elicit constructive
feedback. - Detailed, logical, process & solution-oriented mindset.
- Front end programming experience (HTML).
- Has a network in the Fintech Ecosystem.
- Six Sigma training will be an added advantage.
