Market wrap 28/11/2023

The Nigerian equities market closed on a negative note at the close of today’s trading session as the All share index dipped marginally by -0.44% to settle at 71,041.29. Southward movement on Dangcem (-2.44%), UACN (-5.59%), Glaxosmith (-4.45%), Stanbic (-3.08%), NGXgroup (-2.65%), Oando (-1.71%), GTCO (- 0.90%), Accesscorp (-0.55%), Zenithbank (-0.42%), NB (-0.26%), Wapco (- 0.17%), and Dangsugar (-0.17%) accounted for the weak performance of the index. Though most stock closed flattish,  gains in  Mecure (+9.99%), Unilever (+4.90%),NNFM (+4.33%), Mansard (+1.55%), FBNH (+1.36%), UBA (+1.18%) Fidelitybk (+1.12%), and Intbrew (+0.47%) salvaged some values in the day.

Turnover was N5.62bln ( $6.97mln) although boosted by trades in Accesscorp, UBA, Zenithbank and GTCO. We anticipate the same trading pattern in the coming session.
