Today’s trading session closed on a bullish note as All share index, set a new record high, appreciated by +3.00% to settle at 101,571.00 points. The sustained positive momentum was on account of gains recorded in Buacement (+9.98%), Flourmill (+8.95%),Dangcem (+6.49%), BUafoods (+5.59%), Nascon (+6.62%) and Unilever (+%6.62%) among others. On the flipside, losses recorded in NEM(-10.00%), Cadbury (-9.96%), Nahco (-6.59%), Fidelitybk (-3.57%), ETI (-3.52%), and CAP (-2.50%) pared the day’s performance.
Turnover was N8.04bln ( $8.99mln) dominated by trades in Transcorp, Buacement, UBA, Dangcem and Zenithbank. The year to date return on the ASI increased to 35.84%. We anticipate the same trading pattern in the coming session.
