Today’s trading activities closed on a positive note as the All share index appreciated by +1.30% to settle at 95,768.12pts. This was due by positive movement in equities heavy weight Dangcem (+9.99%), as well as gains in Eterna (+9.80%), Unilever (+7.96%), Custodian (+4.66%), Uacn (+ 1.29%), Nahco (+0.59%) and NGXgroup (+0.42%). Nevertheless, market breadth closed in the negative region as Nestle (-7.19%), Flourmill (-10.00), Cadbury (-10.00%), Accesscorp (-2.67%), Zenithbank (-2.22%), NASCON (-2.13%), Wapco (-2.13%), PZ (-1.55%), and Dangsugar (-1.25%) all closed lower in the session.
Turnover was N14.41bln ( $16.16mln) dominated by trades in Nestle, MTNN, Transcorp, Dangcem ,Accesscorp and Zenithbank. The year to date return on the ASI increased to 28.08%. We anticipate the same trading pattern in the coming session.
