Idris Shittu is the Chairman of FBNQuest Trustees and also acts as the Head, Risk Management & Compliance, FBN Holdings Plc. He has over 20 years’ work experience spanning Audit & Control/Regulatory Compliance, Credit Risk, Treasury/Market Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Liquidity and Funding Risk Management, Assets and Liabilities Management, Basel II and III Capital Management as well as General Management and Governance. Until his appointment in 2017, Idris was Head, Market Liquidity Risk and Basel II/III Capital Management in Keystone Bank Limited. He has also worked in United Bank for Africa and Dominion Trust Limited. He holds an MBA with bias in Finance and Investment, an Advanced Risk Management Certificate from the Wharton Business School, he is a certified Information Systems Auditor and certified Risk Analyst.
Idris is a Fellow of the Global Academy of Finance and Management (GAFM) and Senior Associate of the Risk Management Association of Nigeria (RIMAN), amongst others. He is competent in Governance, Enterprise Risk Management Processes and Audit Assurances/Compliance. He has interests in general research, financial modelling, reading, astronomy, sports and community service. He is happily married with children
