For over five years, FBNQuest Merchant Bank has been in partnership with Lagos Business School (LBS) to provide Bloomberg Rooms at its main campus as part of our commitment to supporting reputable educational institutions with robust business and financial facilities. This Bloomberg terminal is one of the most influential resources available in the finance sector, which will help students in related fields of study gain access to real-time financial data. In 2017, we supplied the LBS with 2 Bloomberg terminals and up to 12 in 2018.
Furthermore, we partner with Teach For Nigeria (TFN), an NGO aimed at addressing Nigeria’s most marginalized schoolchildren’s low educational outcomes, through the enrollment of the nation’s most ambitious future leaders to expand their educational and professional career prospects.
This initiative provides the FBNQuest Merchant Bank with an opportunity to help a core sector of economic need, namely education, in line with our CR&S emphasis on group-level knowledge and capacity-building.
Our collaboration with TFN continues to the next step of their lives through a mentorship scheme between our employee volunteers and the TFN fellows.
So far, more than 800 students from government schools around our vicinity have benefited from our team-driven CR&S volunteering projects, learning successful job skills that improve their chances of working after graduation.
