Oluyele Delano, SAN, MCI Arb is an Independent Director of FBNQuest Merchant Bank. In addition, he is a Managing Partner at Akindelano Legal Practitioners (ALP).He began his practice with Chief Rotimi Williams’ Chambers in 1988, after being called to the Nigerian Bar in the same year, and progressed to become one of the Chambers’ leading counsels focused on Litigation and Arbitration. A decade later in 1998, Oluyele assumed his current position in the Lagos office of ALP and was elevated to the Inner Bar in 2006, becoming one of the youngest Senior Advocates of Nigeria to be honoured with the Silk.
A distinguished expert with a knack for accuracy and analysis, Oluyele has been active in prominent multimillion-dollar deals where he has advised key government and private sector interests. He currently serves as the Chairman, Board of Trustees at the Lazarus Trustee Foundation as well as being a member of the Board of Directors of Crossworld Securities Limited.
Oluyele is a Member of the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators United Kingdom, the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Bar Association and the Energy Institute, London and Lagos. He also holds a BA (Hons) in Law from the University of Southampton in England.
