Last minute spike in telcoms giant MTNN (+8.89%) pushed the broad index into the green region as the ASI advanced by +1.51% at the close of today’s session. Other notable gainers were Oando (+9.98%), ETI (+6.64%), NGXgroup (+4.48%), Afriprud (+4.35%), Nascon (+2.81%), Gtco (+1.39%), Zenithbank (+0.78%), Accesscorp (+0.56%) and Wpaco (+0.395). On the contrary, PZ (-5.88%), Unilever (-3.57%), Uacn (-2.78%) and Mansard (-1.04%) closed in the negative region
Turnover was N4.23bln ( $9.1mln) dominated by block trades in Livingtrust and Fidelitybk. The YTD return on the NGX index appreciated to +6.17%. We expect the same trading pattern in the coming session.
