Today, the NGX All-Share Index edged higher by 132bps to close at 60,108.86 points amid sustained demand in selected banking names. The index’s gain was primarily driven by positive movement in Seplat (+2.93%), Total (+4.17%), MTNN (+2.77%), NB (+2.21%), Wapco (+2.93%), GTCO (+5.20%), ZENITHBANK (+4.62%), Accesscorp (+3.61%) and MTNN (+2.03%). On the contrary, PZ (-3.15%), Flourmill (-1.16%), UACN (-0.50%) and Vitafoam (-0.47%) closed in the negative region.

Turnover was N12.53bln ( $16.12mln) largely on account of trades in GTCO, Zenithbank ,Accesscorp and MTNN. We expect sentiment to remain positive in the coming sessions as investors monitor policy guidance of the government and expects H1 earnings of quoted companies.
