Investor sentiment remained feeble in today’s session as the NSEASI closed flattish (-0.03%) at 25,136.49 points. Although, most stocks closed unchanged, today’s performance was due to weakness in NB (-2.78%), Wapco (-0.43%) as well as points lost by oil & gas majors: Conoil (-9.76%), Ardova (- 9.68%) and Oando (-9.68%). On the flipside, the lenders: Sterlnbank (+2.61%), UBA (+2.31%), Access (+0.79%) Fidelitybk (+0.56%), Zenithbank (+0.30%) and Guaranty (+0.20%) all advanced alongside select consumers; Dangsugar (+2.44%), Intbrew (+1.82%), Flourmill (+1.09%) and Guinness (+0.65%).

Market turnover was N2.46bn ($6.37m) and was boosted by mixed crosses in Guaranty and Zenithbank. The NSEASI ytd return closed at -6.35%. We expect the market to witness similar sentiments in the coming session.
