Akin Osinbajo, SAN is a Non-Executive Director of FBNQuest Merchant Bank. A seasoned litigator and commercial Law Practitioner, Chartered Arbitrator and Notary Public of Nigeria, he has represented several multinational and local clients in legal contentions across several courts in Nigeria.

Akin previously served in the Nigerian Bar Association’s Special Task Force on Multidisciplinary Practices and Incursions into the Legal Profession, and was also part of the Civil Service and Judicial Matters Work Group of the Transition Committee of the Governor-elect of Ogun State in 2003. He was also the longest-serving principal legal officer of the state, appointed as Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice between 2003 to 2007 and reappointed from July 2007 to May 2011. His eight years as Chief Law Officer and Official Leader of the Bar guided him to extensively reform the justice system in the State for the long term.

Akin is Joint Managing Partner in Abdulai, Taiwo & Co., Solicitors, a firm internationally acknowledged for its expertise on transactional matters relating to Nigeria. He holds a BA Hons and MA Law from the University College, London, and is a Barrister at Law, fully certified by the Council of Legal Education in Nigeria. He is also an Associate, Member and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACI Arb) in the United Kingdom.
